WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER

As Headteacher, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the website of Chapel End Junior Academy.

Chapel End Junior Academy is a vibrant place where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. Based in Walthamstow, our school is a sharing and aspirational community. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy and confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. We believe that every child and adult in the school is precious and equally valued – no matter what race, sex, religion, social background, physical or intellectual achievement.

Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.

The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the local community and the other schools in the REAch2 Academy Trust. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child’s education and value your interest and support.

We are delighted to be part of the REAch2 Academy Trust. A primary charitable trust, REAch2 (Raising Educational Achievement for Children) is an academy trust developed by Hillyfield Primary Academy in Waltham Forest. The trust aspires to create a family of primary academies that have strong reputations for delivering outstanding education for all pupils.

We are extremely proud of our school, pupils and staff. We believe that Chapel End Junior Academy is a fantastic place for children to learn and develop into confident and successful young people, but don’t take our word for it; come and visit us and see for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.

Who deals with queries?

We warmly welcome parents, carers and visitors into the school. If you have any questions regarding your child, teachers are by their class doors every morning and will be happy to make an appointment to see you. My Deputy Headteacher, Sheena Smith, and I are also on the playground before and after school each day. Our Business Manager, Wendy Eaton, and the office staff are also happy to help with any general questions. Alternatively, please do make an appointment to see either me or Mrs Smith if you would like to discuss anything in more detail. We aim to see parents within 24 hours of a request being made.
