CHAPEL END INFANT SCHOOL TRANSFER

Chapel End Infant School and Chapel End Junior Academy work in partnership to ensure that the transfer for all the children between Key Stages 1 and 2 is as smooth as possible.  All the children spend some time in the Junior School to find out what their first days will be like.  Staff liaise across the two schools to pass on information and to prepare an appropriate transfer curriculum. All Year 2 Infants children will automatically have a place in the Junior school, however you still need to fill in the transfer form which you can obtain from the Infants or from Pupil Admissions.

SECONDARY TRANSFER

Secondary school transfers are arranged through the local authority.  The school passes information to parents about secondary transfer in the early Autumn Term and liaises with families, the LA and schools as required.

Further details, including the right of appeal against a decision, are made clear at the appropriate time.

We work in partnership with our local secondary schools and aim to provide all our children with the best opportunities to be successful as they continue their learning journey.

Please do make an appointment to speak with Mrs Whittle if you have any questions about transfer. We will be more than happy to help.

Please see our admissions policy in our 'policy' section for more details about our selection and oversubscription criteria, and our process for dealing with applications.
